July has been a busy month for our local chapter as well as FFRF at a national level. We are not the only ones making noise as you will see below – Secular Ally (American Atheist) .

Local Activities

Kick off of Summer Speaker Series

First off we have just kick off of our 2026 Summer Speaker Series. This was an amazing time and we loved having Sam Grover speak to us.

As I have mentioned in our Victory Points Page here on this website/blog (and addressed in the Q&A at the talk with Sam Grover) sometimes FFRF will send strongly worded letters on behalf of the community when there are issues.

FFRF sends letter to Eureka Springs School District

FFRF has recently had to do this at a local level by sending a a letter sent to Eureka Springs Superintendent explaining that the school has had a number of constitutional violations.

We have tabled at both the Bentonville and Fayetteville Farmers Market. We consistently do this through the summer months The 2nd Saturday in Bentonville and the 4th Saturday in Fayetteville. Come join us some time and have a bit of fun civil discourse.

First Liberty Institute ranks Arkansas No. 1 in religious freedom protections, ACLU and FFRF disagrees. Here is a local news post. Basically this is a award for the groups score on Christian Nationalism.

American Atheist – send letter to Texas

In a recent email from Nick Fish – President of American Atheist he sent this:

In case you missed it, American Atheists made headlines this week for doing what we’ve done best for more than 60 years: standing up for the constitutional rights of nonreligious Americans.

Following reports that Texas Comptroller-elect Don Huffines planned to fire state employees he deemed not “sufficiently Christian,” our Legal Team fired back.

[American Atheists] We put Huffines on notice, issuing a scathing letter that made clear: If he follows through on his threat to impose an illegal religious test, we stand ready to defend the workers whose rights he violates.
