First let me say I am a huge The Friendly Atheist fan. I have ben listening to the podcast and watching the videos on YouTube for years.
I was over the moon, when Chris informed me that he secured Hemant Mehta (The Friendly Atheist) for our Speaker Series.
On Aug 22nd 2026 we had Hemant Mehta (The Friendly Atheist) speak as part of our 2026 Secular Speaker Series.
This was the first of these shows in 2 years that we have SOLD OUT, and I expect we will have even more in the future.
We had 75 people in attendance at the Fayetteville Library in the Ziggler Room. We had people come from as far away as Dallas.
For those of you who couldn’t make it or those who just want to revisit the show here is a link to the video.
Note: There was one (John Oliver) clip that we had to removed based on YouTubes copyright check, but it does not change the over all message.
In regards to the video the first 40 minutes or so is the presentation, and then it transitions into Q&A.
Hemant Mehta does a good job of repeating the questions for the most part and answers what he can.
Finally I want to Thank Hemant Mehta for being a delightful human, and a wonderful speaker.
